THE TEAM
Kishani Perera
From the finest showrooms across the globe, to the bespoke gems of local artisans, Interior Designer Kishani Perera relies on a multitude of resources to create beautiful spaces that have seemingly evolved over decades rather than months. This ability to blend the reclaimed with refined, the ordinary with ornamental, has attracted a loyal following of celebrities, musicians, entrepreneurs, and many more who have come to depend on her inventive use of resources to create homes that are both chic and livable. From uniquely decorated interiors to ground up construction, Kishani carefully cultivates each home with a holistic view which begins with considerations that respect not only the environment, but most importantly the health and wellbeing of her clients. Through curated, non-toxic materials and elements implemented during the construction process, and thoughtful furnishings and finish choices which encourage health, rather than hinder it, we all deserve Healthy Homes™ which, of course, also happen to be beautiful!
Known for her unique vision and innovative approach, magazines such as In Style, Traditional Home, House Beautiful, Town and Country and People, to name a few, have also been drawn to her cosmopolitan flair and passion for bygone eras. Not only has her work and expertise as both a designer and style maker been featured in countless publications, this UCLA grad was even approached by American Express to represent both their company and hers in a national ad campaign. In 2012 a vibrant coffee table book of Kishani’s work, entitled Vintage Remix, was released by Abrams, featuring an introduction and forward by long time clients Molly Sims and Gary Oldman. And recently, she was named Top 10 Interior Designers by Variety, and top 20 Designers of 2019 by The Hollywood Reporter.
When not collaborating with her eclectic group of clients, or indulging her workaholic tendencies, Kishani can be found scavenging the city for hidden treasures, singing at the top of her lungs in traffic to anything from indie to oldies, baking up vegan treats, and staring at the sea with her pugs, enjoying all the beauty that this world has to offer.
Ava Suman
Ava Dominga Suman brings a warm California sensibility to her work, shaped by her upbringing in Los Angeles and a deep appreciation for light, balance, and comfort. She studied at the University of Connecticut, where she developed a thoughtful, detail-oriented foundation that informs her role as a design assistant. Ava is drawn to interiors that feel intentional yet liveable, and with a quiet sense of refinement and character.
Angie Garcia
Angie brings more than 20 years of administrative experience and a career built on reliability, adaptability, and a strong work ethic. Her introduction to the world of furniture installation came while supporting hotel projects, where an administrative role quickly expanded into broader involvement with project coordination, field support, and project management.
Over the years, Angie developed hands-on knowledge in coordinating schedules, supporting installation teams, and managing the many moving parts that keep projects running smoothly and on schedule. She is known for being highly organized, dependable, and able to adapt quickly across different roles and trades when projects demand it. Her strengths lie in multitasking, problem-solving, and keeping operations running efficiently behind the scenes.
Angie has always had a creative side—from painting to restoration projects. With this creative spirit, Angie is now interested in exploring the design world and expanding her knowledge of how projects come together from both a management and design perspective.
The Design Assistants
Gus, Birdie and Bowie, having a taste for the finer things in life, developed an appreciation for design early on. From cozy textures, chic beds and bowls, to well designed doggie staircases, no detail is too small for these aficionados. As such, they provide several vital services at KPI, such as daily morale boosts, emotional support, slobbery smooches, and of course invaluable opinions on all design selections. Although not having a formal education in design, all pups can say with certainty that no home is complete without even the tiniest sprinkle of dog hair. Gus, Birdie and Bowie enjoy long walks at the beach, delicious treats, road trips with their grandparents, and lounging for hours in front of a crackling fireplace.
Diana Vasarhelyi
Diana was raised in Los Angeles with Hungarian roots that shape her eye for detail and sense of atmosphere. She discovered interior design early on and spent the past five years working in high end residential projects, building a foundation in construction, custom millwork, and the practical side of bringing a home to life.
Throughout her career, Diana has grown through hands-on experience and collaboration with different teams and trades, developing a sharp, thoughtful approach to design. She loves getting to know clients and helping create spaces that genuinely reflect them, blending original architectural character with comfortable, modern living. She also gravitates toward vintage pieces and collected finds that bring personality and history into a space.
Combining her European influence with a California mindset, Diana is inspired by natural textures, soft tones, and simple forms. Her style feels grounded and intentional, creating homes that are warm, personal, and effortlessly lived in.

Healthy Homes™ Design and Construction
“A beautiful aesthetic is only a part of the equation when it comes to designing a home,” says Kishani Perera, a Los Angeles-based interior designer and owner of the design build firm Healthy Homes. “Without consideration given to the health of a space, and how it nurtures or conversely damages the inhabitants’ health, a pretty façade is pointless.”
